ANTISOCIAL PERSONALITY, DRUG USE (ALCOHOL & CANNABIS) AND VIOLENT BEHAVIOUR AMONG MOTOR-PARK TOUTS IN IBADAN.

Urban violence is on the increase in Nigeria and a significant population of those involved are motor-park touts. Several factors which include drug misuse antisocial personality disorder has been implicated escalating levels violent behaviour. However, empirical finding linking drug-use, anti-social behaviour behaviours among touts scarce. This study examined role local alcohol cocktail misuse, marijuana trait as predictors motor park Ibadan. The an ex-post facto design using cross sectional survey method 524 respondents (mean age = 24.73±12.02) were drawn from 10 parks within Ibadan metropolis cluster multi-stage sampling technique. A standardized self-report questionnaire was utilised. results showed that correlated positively with (r 0.098, Sig.= 0.011), 0.097, 0.011) 0.273, 0.00). Alcohol (β 0.086; t 2.022, 0.00) traits (β= 0.273; 6.331, predicted implication this does not depend alone but also misuse. It advised proper awareness should be raised to educate society at large about implications more rehabilitation centers built by government rehabilitate affected back into society.
